Dr. Wind strives to always place the patient first and to seek out the most conservative and least invasive options for each individual patient. Using conservative care and minimally invasive techniques, he seeks out options that have the best chance of achieving individual patient goals while minimizing the negative impacts from traditional open surgeries. This results in shorter hospital stays, faster recoveries and patients getting back to their lives sooner. Dr. Wind has presented research in regional and national meetings and has over 30 peer-reviewed publications. He has been a principal investigator in several multicenter clinical trials regarding spine surgery including as a site of the recently FDA-approved TOPS procedure as a motion-preserving alternative to spinal fusion.
