Over more than a decade in a large, high-volume orthopedic group in Northern California, Dr. Nowak developed a practice centered on complex ankle and rearfoot pathology, with particular emphasis on primary and revision total ankle replacement.Dr. Nowak has a special interest in total ankle replacement and revision total ankle surgery and has performed a high volume of these procedures throughout his career. His experience spans primary replacements, complex revisions, salvage reconstruction, and challenging deformity correction. He has also been intimately involved in the design and development of new total ankle replacement implants, contributing clinical insight to advance implant technology and surgical technique.A well-published author, Dr. Nowak has contributed numerous articles to peer-reviewed medical journals on total ankle replacement and other reconstructive foot and ankle procedures. He has authored multiple textbook chapters, including work on total talus replacement and advanced reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. He is a national lecturer and educator, regularly teaching surgeons across the country on total ankle replacement, ankle and rearfoot reconstruction, and complex surgical decision-making.While recognized for his expertise in total ankle replacement, Dr..
