Lee Faucher, MD, FACS, is a UW Health acute care surgeon and a professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Faucher performs emergency surgery for people who have sustained serious injuries or burns.Due to the sudden nature of his patients’ injuries or burns, Dr. Faucher is meeting people at their most vulnerable. He uses clear, honest communication to comfort patients and gain their trust. He takes a patient-centered approach to care and educates patients about their conditions and the risks and benefits of their treatment options.
