He then finished his Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship training at the prestigious Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Chicago, IL). Dr. Fernando is the Program Director for AHN’s Breast Surgery Fellowship program, and he is honored to train the future generation of breast surgeons. Dr. Fernando brings his world-class training and expertise directly to the Pittsburgh community, so his patients do not need to travel far to receive the best quality of care. Outside of work, Dr. Fernando enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters. He is fond of film and theatre, and is an avid music enthusiast. He has a strong interest in history, particularly the American Civil War and the RMS Titanic. He is an amateur chess player, and is also working towards his pilot’s license.
