Overview
Mary Dawson, MD, says she felt called to study medicine so she could serve people and enrich their health. “I was drawn to specialize in family medicine because I could build relationships with my patients,” Dr. Dawson says. “I want to treat every aspect of a person’s health, including their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.” Dr. Dawson grew up in Louisiana and North Carolina. After completing medical training, she and her husband moved to the Appalachian Highlands to pursue their careers and raise their family. “I love seeing God’s beauty in nature”, Dr. Dawson says. “And I especially enjoy being active outside in the four seasons here.”.
