
Overview
A native of north Houston, Dr. Matthew Jordan grew up in Conroe and attended Oak Ridge High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree at Trinity University in San Antonio before earning his medical degree from McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at Texas A&M/Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple. Following his residency, Dr. Jordan returned to Houston to complete his fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. A member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Jordan is board certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Jordan treats a wide variety of orthopedic injuries and conditions. His special interests include treatment of acute and chronic hand and wrist disorders. Hand conditions treated include carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, ganglion cyst, Dupuytren’s, base of the thumb arthritis, fractures, sports injuries, tendon lacerations, and nail bed injuries. Wrist care includes wrist arthroscopy, De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis, Distal Radius fractures, scaphoid fractures, TFCC tears and wrist arthritis surgery. Elbow conditions and treatments include Tommy John surgery, elbow arthroscopy, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, bicep tears, radial nerve compression, ulnar nerve compression, elbow trauma, contracture release and total elbow replacement. He also provides general orthopedic care and treats shoulder and knee injuries, arthritis, sports injuries and fracture care as well as disorders of the foot and ankle. An Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School, Dr. Jordan strives to provide his patients with highly individualized, innovative, patient-centered care that’s designed to achieve predictable results and help patients return to healthy active lifestyles. During his training, Dr. Jordan cared for athletes at all levels of competition from high school to the professional level. He has performed all aspects of hand surgery--from minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques to complex upper extremity reconstruction.

Dr. Eric Klineberg received his undergraduate degree from Rice University and then a master’s degree in zoology and neural networks at the University of Maryland, before earning his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Washington Medical System in Seattle then a combined neurosurgery and orthopedic surgical spine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. Dr. Klineberg is board certified in orthopedic surgery. His primary clinical interests include spinal degeneration, deformity, tumor and fracture; adult and pediatric spinal deformity surgery; and cervical compression and deformity. Dr. Klineberg is committed to excellence in surgical care with an emphasis on communication, compassion and empathy. He strives to treat each patient as he would like himself or a family member to be treated. A professor and vice chair in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, Dr. Klineberg serves as Chief of Orthopedic Spine Surgery and holds the Milton “Chip” Routt Endowed Chair of Spinal Surgery. His research, teaching and clinical activity have earned Dr. Klineberg an international reputation in spinal deformity surgery. Author of over then 300 publications and book chapters, he also edited Adult Lumbar Scoliosis, A Clinical Guide to Diagnosis and Management and is a principal or co-principal investigator for more than a half-dozen clinical studies. His major research interests are enhancement of spinal fusion with stem cells and proteins and spinal deformity and outcomes. He serves on the board of directors of the Scoliosis Research Society and on the executive committee of the International Spine Study Group. He is also the North American Chair of AO Spine, a global academic community that promotes excellence in education, research, patient care and outcomes.
