Dr. Anthony Estrera is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. He completed a residency in general surgery and a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Board certified in surgery and thoracic surgery, Dr. Estrera’s clinical interests include cardiac surgery, valvular heart disease, aortic aneurysms and aortic dissection. He has practiced in the Houston area since 2000. A fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), Dr. Gregoric is also a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American Association for Thoracic Surgery, American Society of Artificial Internal Organs and International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation. He has published more than 400 original articles in medical journals and authored numerous book chapters. Dr. Gregoric is on the faculty of McGovern School of Medicine and serves as chief of the surgical division of the Center for Advanced Cardiopulmonary Therapies and Transplantations.
