Overview
Dr. Michael Ellis was born and raised in West Jordan, Utah. He earned his medical degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson before returning to Utah to complete his residency at Primary Children’s Hospital. During his training, Dr. Ellis completed his community pediatrics experience at the Southpoint office alongside Dr. Bosworth. He later joined the Southpoint team himself in 2020.
As a pediatrician, Dr. Ellis draws great satisfaction in caring for and getting to know entire families and watching them grow up together. As a father of three, Dr. Ellis strives to be the type of pediatrician he expects for his own children. He believes patience, proficiency, and integrity are essential. He also relates to the ups and downs of being a parent and enjoys taking time to answer all the little questions.
When outside the clinic, Dr. Ellis can be found spending time with his family. He speaks Portuguese and enjoys reading Wikipedia pages, woodworking, racquetball, and the occasional video game to stay current with pediatric pop-culture.
