Murtaza N. Bhuriwala, MD, earned his medical degree from the Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan. He went on to complete an internal medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit before completing an oncology fellowship with Texas A&M College of Medicine at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple. Board certified in medical oncology, Dr. Bhuriwala provides diagnostic and treatment services through an individualized approach to care for patients suffering from all types of cancer. He specializes in chemotherapy, clinical trials, hematology, hormone therapy, internal medicine and targeted therapy. For over 20 years, his goal has been to provide excellent care for his patients. Dr. Bhuriwala is an associate member of the American College of Physicians (ACP), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the Texas Medical Association (TMA), and he is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA). When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Bhuriwala enjoys reading, playing squash, cricket and soccer. Dr. Bhuriwala is originally from Pakistan and speaks Gujrat, Hindi and Urdu.
