Medicine is an ever-evolving human science, being said, I have spent a long time practicing medicine in the academic teaching field. I teach residents and students as an assistant professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Illinois School of Medicine and as core faculty for Internal Medicine Residency program. My mission is to strengthen the ethics of medicine for new physicians, stressing the need to have ownership in medicine and maintain long-term efficient patient care. Staying informed with all the changes in medicine is very critical to serve the best care for our patients and keep my patients informed and oriented with long-term plan A, what to expect and anticipate in the future. In brief, medicine should offer advocacy for patients with quality long-term up-to-date care.
