Overview
My clinical philosophy is rooted in this statement by William Osler, a key figure in the development of clinical medicine, “The good physician treats the disease, the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.” I have over two decades of experience in pediatric endocrinology, with a special interest in severe obesity, diabetes mellitus, and hypoglycemia. I am originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, and I am excited to relocate back to North Carolina with my husband, two children, and two cats. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, dancing, cooking, and watching Duke basketball games. I maintain my health by running several days a week, drinking green smoothies, and practicing mindfulness and gratitude.
