Raymond A. Jean, MD MHS is a faculty member in the Division of Acute Care Surgery. Dr. Jean graduated with an A.B. in Engineering Sciences from Harvard University. He went on to receive his medical degree from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine, where in addition to an M.D., he received a M.A. in outcomes research. He then completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. During that time, he also obtained a M.H.S. degree from the Yale School of Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at the University of Washington’s Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington before joining the Division of Acute Care Surgery at the University of Michigan.Clinical Specialization:Dr. Jean specializes in the surgical treatment and management of patients who suffer injuries from trauma, or emergent general surgery conditions.
