Overview
Dr. Reepa Shah joins Liv after a storied 20+ year medical career in the Washington, DC area. She completed both her undergraduate and medical school at Boston University, through their prestigious 7-year medical program. She was able to complete a B.S. in Biochemistry, a B.A. in Comparative Religion, and her medical degree, all Summa Cum Laude, before continuing to George Washington University to train in Gynecologic Surgery and Obstetrics.
Throughout her career in Northern Virginia, she has delivered thousands of babies and cared for thousands of women, but her first love in medicine has always been the endocrinological and hormonal challenges that face women throughout life. She enjoys focusing on PCOS, pelvic pain, endometriosis, infertility, PMDD, mood issues, and especially the challenges that face women during menopause. From 2019-2022, Dr Shah temporarily shifted her attention to pelvic pain, pelvic congestion, and Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, completing additional specialized training in these areas. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and the North American Menopause Society. She now brings her experience together at Liv with a specialized focus on Women’s Wellness. Her goal is to help all of her patients Liv their healthiest and most authentic lives!
As a mom of 4 kids and a busy professional, Dr. Shah brings not only her expertise, but her empathy and clinical excellence to the bedside. In her free time, she loves yoga, trying new restaurants, learning of all kinds, and travel.
