Dr. Rosa Zissimos

Dr. Rosa Zissimos, an interventional pain physician, is part of Orlando Health Spine Center, a multidisciplinary collaboration between Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. She often treats patients who suffer from chronic pain conditions such as: Degenerative disc disease Disc herniations Arthritis Spinal stenosis Diabetic neuropathy Peripheral neuropathy Complex regional pain syndrome Cancer-related spine pain Dr. Zissimos’ Training Dr. Zissimos earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry at Florida International University in Miami and completed a post-baccalaureate research program at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. She earned her medical degree and Master of Science at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora. She completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and a pain medicine fellowship at Loma Linda University in California. About Dr. Zissimos Dr. Zissimos has presented on and published work on stroke rehabilitation, multiple sclerosis, lupus and cervical discitis. She is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, and American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Her clinical expertise encompasses Chronic Pain, Wallerian Degeneration, Pudendal Neuralgia, and Giant Axonal Neuropathy.
