My goal as a foot and ankle surgeon is to improve the health and lives of my patients by resolving their pain, restoring normal ambulation, preventing amputation, and maximizing recovery after an injury. I am particularly interested in finding the best methods to treat complex foot and ankle fractures, deformities, infections, wounds, and arthritic conditions. I also enjoy teaching these methods to podiatric medical students, foot and ankle surgery residents, and practicing surgeons. Professional leadership activities at HealthPartners allow me to focus on important aspects of health care, like patient safety in the operating room and patient experience in the clinic. I also enjoy teaching at a number of medical conferences around the country each year and assist with the management of the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, which is the flagship journal of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
