Overview
Dr. Ahlers trained with the expectation of becoming a physician-scientist. As much as he enjoyed working in the lab, he discovered that he loved taking care of patients far more. At Baylor Scott & White, he works as a hematologist-oncologist with a special focus on leukemia, graft-vs-host disease, and other malignant hematologic disorders. Dr. Ahlers also cares for patients with non-cancerous blood disorders and solid tumors.
