Overview
Dr. Taofeek Aro earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and completed his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he won awards for professionalism and excellence. Dr. Aro, who is board certified in surgery, treats patients from 15 years old through adulthood. He has been in practice since 2017. His primary clinical interests are robotic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, abdominal wall reconstruction, gallbladder disease, colorectal cancer, breast cancer and wound care. While Dr. Aro’s training includes a full range of surgical techniques, he focuses on minimally invasive procedures, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He takes time to listen to patients and ensures they are well informed about various surgical techniques and treatment options. Away from his practice, Dr. Aro’s main interests are family time, exercise and the Dallas Cowboys.
