Dr. Thomas M. Michel is a cardiovascular medicine specialist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). His laboratory has studied endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS), a signaling enzyme involved in the control of vascular tone, myocardial contractibility and platelet aggregation. An active educator, he served as the dean for education at Harvard Medical School. For the past two decades, the National Institutes of Health has provided continuous funding for his research endeavors.
