Dr. Vishwala Kasbekar

Vishwala Kasbekar, MD, MPH, is an internal medicine/pediatric specialist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she has more than 10 years of experience treating patients of all ages with diabetes, obesity, hypertension, among other conditions. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to all patients and ensuring they are educated about their condition and treatment.Dr. Kasbekar earned her Bachelor of Science in neurosciences from the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, followed by a Master of Public Health in global health from George Washington University, Washington, DC. She then completed her medical degree at St. George's University, St. George, Grenada, before finishing a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark, NJ, where she served as chief resident. Prior to joining AMG, she served as a primary care physician at St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates, Rensselaer, NY, board member at Innovative Health Alliance of New York, Albany, NY, physician consultant at Siena College, Loudonville, NY, and campaign advocacy intern at Global Health Council, Washington, DC. She also served as a clinical instructor at Sage College & SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Rensselaer and clinical assistant professor at Albany Medical College in Albany. She is a member of the professional organizations the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, American Medical Women’s Association, and American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
