Next, she received fellowship training in interventional radiology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Va. She also worked at the National Institutes of Health, where she served as a principal investigator on several human protocols and an associate investigator on many others.Abi-Jaoudeh is the author of multiple manuscripts and she has submitted two patents related to imaging technology and a third in locoregional therapy. Her research interests include novel therapies for the treatment of primary and metastatic liver cancer, and the use of navigation systems during image-guided procedures. She also has initiated several human and translational studies to advance cancer care. Her goal is to continue to develop a translational research program that will improve UCI Health patient care and outcomes.She is a member of the Royal Canadian College of Radiology and several radiological societies. She is a fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and deputy editor of the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. A longtime member of the SIR committee that plans largest interventional radiology conference, she will chair that planning committee in 2022. She also is chair of the SIR Foundation's clinical trials and registry division.Abi-Jaoudeh is also fluent Arabic, French and German. She sees patients atUCI Medical Centerin Orange.
