Dr. William P. Mazur

Dr. William P. Mazur is an infectious disease specialist and HIV physician who serves as Medical Director of the William J. Holloway Community Program at ChristianaCare in Delaware and Regional Medical Director for the MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center (MAAETC). His clinical and public health interests include HIV prevention and treatment, viral hepatitis, correctional healthcare, and improving access to care for underserved populations. He is widely recognized for his patient-centered approach and commitment to building trusting, collaborative relationships with patients.

Dr. Mazur graduated magna cum laude from Westminster College with degrees in Biology and Music and earned his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine. He completed residency training and served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital before completing fellowship training in Infectious Diseases at Cooper University Hospital.

Throughout his career, Dr. Mazur has provided infectious disease consultation and direct patient care for incarcerated individuals with HIV, viral hepatitis, and other infectious diseases in correctional systems in Delaware, New Jersey, Camden County, and Philadelphia. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and is recognized as an HIV Specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
