Dr. Muhammad Haris Nazim is a board-certified general surgeon with additional certification in trauma surgery and surgical critical care. With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Nazim has built a career grounded in high-acuity clinical care, leadership in academic surgery, and a commitment to improving access to life-saving surgical services in both urban and rural populations. He currently serves as the Dr. William and Sue Hale Distinguished Professor and Regional Chair of the Department of Surgery at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) in Amarillo, Texas. He also has a focused interest in complex wound management, serving as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP), and has treated patients with necrotizing soft tissue infections, chronic non-healing wounds, and pressure ulcers requiring surgical intervention.
