
Overview
"Mark Eisenberg, MD, joined Northwell Health in 2005 after nine years in private practice. He is now chief of neurosurgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and the founder and director of the Skull Base Center, which is part of the Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery. The center advances the field through innovative techniques and approaches.
After graduating from University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Eisenberg completed his residency training in neurosurgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Following residency, he completed a skull base surgery fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. His area of expertise is neurological disease, with a focus on robotic and minimally invasive approaches to skull base and spinal surgery, as well as management and surgical treatment of degenerative spine disorders.
