It has been my privilege to care for lung transplant patients for over 20 years. I have found that helping patients and their loved ones along their transplant journey to be very rewarding. My job as the Medical Director of the Duke Lung Transplant Program is to help equip our team to work collectively to achieve the best outcome for our patients. We also recognize that in order to improve outcomes in lung transplants, there must be significant advances in the prevention and treatment of chronic lung allograft dysfunction (CLAD). Therefore, we support clinical research efforts to this end, participate in the most promising trials, and provide our patients the opportunity to enroll in them.
