I care for patients with neuromuscular disorders, which include muscular dystrophy, neuropathy, autoimmune muscle, and nerve conditions, as well as inherited ones. A lot of my work is focused on a holistic approach, so I don’t just focus on the treatment of the disease, but also the way the disease is affecting the rest of the patient’s life and quality of life. I will spend the majority of my visit talking with the patient, then do a full neurological exam, and then discuss potential options and potential diagnoses. If it is a condition that is autoimmune, we can discuss various therapies that can be used and other needs at home related to mobility or basic function.
