
Overview
Anahita Parsee, MD, is board-certified in thoracic surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She received her medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine where she also completed her general surgery residency. She then went on to complete two fellowships in cardiothoracic surgery and critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively. Dr. Parsee’s clinical interests include thoracic surgery (including neoplastic thoracic pathology, non-malignant thoracic surgery, and medistonoscopy), critical care medicine, and adult cardiac surgery, including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR). She has a passion for medical education and has held faculty positions at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Parsee is a member of several professional societies, including Women in Thoracic Surgery, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and the Association of Women Surgeons. Outside of medicine, Dr. Parsee enjoys taking care of her young family, traveling, and supporting the arts.
