I’ve been practicing medicine for almost 30 years, and I can’t imagine doing anything else. My favorite thing about being a pediatrician is becoming part of the family. Seeing a child from the first days of life all the way through to adolescence is truly amazing. I’m very humbled and proud to be voted Osceola County’s best pediatrician, but what’s truly rewarding is having parents who were my patients as children, bringing their own children in to see me. In the Philippines, where I was born and raised, I was inspired by my neighbor who was a physician. For years I watched as he helped people — especially sick children — get well and grow up. I thought it was incredible that someone could help heal and make such a difference in a person's life. I knew early on this was what I wanted to do. My passion is helping children grow into strong, confident adults. As a doctor I can influence a child’s life and I take that to heart. When I was young, my doctor was my friend and that’s my goal with my patients and families. I enjoy celebrating successes and helping my patients through struggles by providing healing and advice in times of sickness and in health. I regularly participate in medical missions in the Philippines, and I’m grateful to be able to help children who are sick get back to just being kids. I also treat every child as my own and will do whatever it takes to ensure that all of my “children” are healthy and strong. Dr. Gonzales is highly rated in 15 conditions, according to our data. Originally from El Salvador, Dr. Bolaños is an experienced, caring, board-certified pediatrician. She’s been serving children and their families for more than two decades in Central Florida via her previous practice, My Kid’s Doctor, and abroad through various medical mission trips and community outreach projects. Well known for her ability to tailor effective and personalized care, Dr. Bolaños is passionate about establishing a strong foundation for a healthy life in childhood, being an advocate for her patients, and learning from them as well, all while teaching and empowering families. I believe promoting healthy development from infancy to adulthood aligns with the famous proverb: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Children are a blessing. Each one is like a seed that, with the proper care and attention, has the potential to grow into a mighty and robust tree that is not easily swayed by the winds of life. Investing in that growth further enriches my love for pediatric medicine. I will never forget about a young orphan girl I met in Haiti. When I asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, she said, “I want to be like you, to help my nine siblings and all of my friends.” Today, 11 years later, she is a prominent nurse in her community. For the past 25 years, doing medical missions has taught me the huge difference our role modeling, compassion, care, kindness and love can make in the developing lives of our children. I believe that once they are established in love, safety and encouragement, they will feel empowered to do great things. My medical interests include: Medical Missions Asthma Prevention I am passionate about empowering children and working collaboratively with their families to reach their full potential. Childhood should be a joyful and fruitful journey for our kids, and I hope to help embolden them to make healthy choices for themselves physically, emotionally and spiritually. I believe that they thrive when surrounded by kindness, encouragement and by our actions of helping others, because they too will one day grow into wholesome and thoughtful young adults who will be willing to extend their hands for those in need. Nemours Children's Health, Kissimmee
I’m a board-certified general pediatrician with a passion for delivering high-quality, culturally competent and patient-centered healthcare services to underserved populations. I have extensive public health professional experience in the United States Peace Corps, USAID, Family Health International, and other international organizations that work towards decreasing childhood mortality. I believe that health and education are human rights, not privileges. Every human being has a right to be healthy and to live up to his/her potential. It is our responsibility as a society to ensure that. I was brought up in a home where community service and serving others was not an “extracurricular” activity to be done in your spare time, but rather an integral part of your life. My parents are very religious and raised me in the church. I truly believe God created me to serve others and gave me the personal characteristics I needed to be a compassionate physician. I chose to treat children rather than adults because I believe in preventive medicine, not reactive medicine. I would rather help families keep their children healthy than help them after the kids get diabetes, depression, or other illnesses. Pediatrics is one of the few specialties that allows for preventive medicine through immunizations, anticipatory guidance, and teaching of healthy habits. I’m passionate about:Helping children access health and educationProviding culturally competent carePracticing evidence-based medicineFollowing standards of care, andProviding the highest quality care to my patients I treat every child as an individual, but I also understand that children do not exist in a vacuum. They are part of a family, which lives in a community within a nation. All of these other levels influence the health of the child and all of them need to be kept in mind when dealing with the child. I try to be respectful of the family’s cultural and religious beliefs and to provide culturally competent care to each child. Dr. Postigo is highly rated in 3 conditions, according to our data. "I am an adolescent medicine specialist because I believe adolescents are not just big children or young adults. It is a time of transition, development of health and life beliefs, and the springboard for a successful life. I treat children because they are our future and represent the best that we have to offer as humans. I first stated I wanted to be a pediatrician when I was 18 months old, and I feel privileged to get to practice my childhood dream every day. I believe that if you can help a young person make good choices around their health, relationships and education now — you are securing for them an adult life of good health. I am passionate about education and view one of a doctor's primary jobs as a teacher. I am motivated by the """"aha"""" look in a patient's eyes when they understand a new concept related to their health. In addition to patients, I also enjoy teaching medical students, residents and fellows. I volunteer my spare time doing community health talks and mentoring. I also enjoy learning new things about others through reading, travel, photography, the arts and culinary exploration. I try to make a difference by advocacy on the individual and societal level. Adolescents need caring adults who listen to them, empower them and fight for them. I give each young person that I encounter time to speak what is on their mind — what their biggest dreams and biggest fears are. I learn so much from these stories and I use them to fuel the passion I bring when I advocate for adolescents on the local, state, and national levels of government and medical organizations.". I grew up in India in a close-knit family. My parents were always a big influence on me. In school, I was very studious – dedicated to my studies. I also participated in many extracurricular activities such as debate, cricket, and soccer. Growing up I wanted to be a teacher or physician and I decided medicine could help me do both. My older brother is a physician and was a role model for me as well. Growing up I was often sick and had to see a lot of doctors. The care I received from these doctors made a big impression on me. When I was in medical school, it was clear that pediatrics was what I wanted to do – as a way to give back and to honor those who cared for me. I feel that educating families is very important. For example, helping them make the right choices when it comes to diet. I’m also committed to educating families on management and ways to prevent frequent asthma attacks. I encourage families to ask me questions so I can help educate them on ways to stay healthy. I spend as much time as possible with each patient and family. My motto is: “No question is a bad question.”. Dr. Palta is highly rated in 2 conditions, according to our data. I grew up in Erie, PA, and was a quiet kid, although I still managed to get into trouble because of my curiosity. Today, I view curiosity as an asset – it helps me be a better doctor. I knew in grade school I wanted to be a doctor. My own pediatrician was an inspiration. He looked out for me and my siblings growing up and that appealed to me. Kids are fun. They appeal to the lightheartedness in me and are such an inspiration because they truly want to get better. Kids are honest and motivated. I feel strongly about access to affordable, quality healthcare for everyone. I try to get to know each patient – let them tell their side of the story. Everyone has a story to tell and who am I to judge or have preconceived notions. Dr. Ngo is highly rated in 2 conditions, according to our data. I speak English and Urdu fluently, and Spanish well enough to talk with patients and families without a translator. My favorite ways to relax are fishing and bicycling. Caring for sick children is a calling. It is the best feeling in the world to put a smile back on a child’s face. I grew up mostly in Florida and love this state. I went to the University of Florida for my undergraduate studies, graduating with highest honors in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2002. I then went to Wake Forest University in North Carolina for both medical school (graduating in 2007) and residency (graduating in 2011). Since that time, I’ve been a pediatric hospitalist, initially working for the University of Oklahoma system before coming back home to Florida and to Nemours. I absolutely love the complexity and extreme diversity of inpatient pediatric medicine, and am especially sympathetic that kids don’t usually cause their own medical problems. It’s not their fault and I want to help them. As a mother of three young children, I feel very fulfilled and thankful every day for the opportunity to take care of children and their families. Most importantly, I am passionate about providing excellent patient care, teamwork and family-centered care. I’m also passionate about teaching and about pediatric medicine in general. Ever since I graduated from residency, I’ve been involved in the teaching of medicine. I enjoy the lifelong learning, the challenges of cases that are more difficult and the educational interaction with students/residents. I aim to inspire, challenge and encourage young learners to become successful educators and leaders in their respective fields, while truly enjoying what we do. I’m excited to be here at Nemours Children's Hospital and to be part of starting a residency program from the ground up with some truly amazing people. Nemours is definitely a unique and very impressive freestanding children’s hospital, and I feel privileged to be part of it. Dr. Kielbasa is highly rated in 1 condition, according to our data. Nemours Children's Hospital, Florida
I love being a pediatrician. No parent or child wants to spend a night at the hospital. The hospital can be a scary experience for everyone involved: not knowing what to expect, being away from the familiar routines of home and school, and (on top of it all) worrying about illness and discomfort. During medical school, I was surprised by how much seeing a child in need energized me to take action. For those moments that I am with them, their world is my world. I am honored to be given the opportunity to work with children in this setting. My goal is to help mitigate fears and work with families and their child/children towards returning everyone to health and play. To get them back to being ballerinas, astronauts, firefighters and superheroes. I believe health for children is not only freedom from disease, but access to quality education, housing, nutrition, relationships and resources. To that goal, I have worked with the Virginia Department of Health, Richmond City Health Department, spoken at both the state and national government levels with House Representatives and Senators, served in the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and was involved regionally in the southeast and nationally with leadership in the American Academy of Pediatrics — advocating for more equitable and evidence-driven care. By being a voice for children. By holding myself up to the highest standards so I can be the best pediatrician for your child and family. Dr. Kopsombut is highly rated in 1 condition, according to our data. Her top areas of expertise are Malnutrition, Genetic Epilepsy with Febrile Seizures Plus (GEFS+), Delayed Growth, and Cerebral Hypoxia.

I like being a point-of-contact for families. It’s important to me to focus and cater to the needs of each individual family. As a hospitalist, I like working with a team of specialists to care for children. We have common goals. I can’t imagine not working with kids! The smiles on their faces are priceless. I wouldn’t want to do anything else. Kids amaze me every day. In so many ways, they are stronger than most adults – resilient. I’m passionate about the kids. Seeing their faces each morning keeps me coming back and gives me the passion to help and be there for them during the tough times. Dr. Gill is highly rated in 1 condition, according to our data.
