Although I knew I wanted to be a doctor all my life, I did not make the decision to be a pediatrician until medical school. While shadowing a pediatrician during my first year, I was amazed by the joy that children brought to the office and knew I wanted to experience that joy for the rest of my career. I decided to become a doctor so I could help people live healthy lives. As soon as I rotated through pediatrics in medical school, I knew it was my passion and what I wanted to do. I provide care for well and sick children, from newborns through adolescents. I especially love taking care of newborns and young children. I have known I wanted to be a doctor for my entire life. However, my decision to become a pediatrician wasn’t solidified until medical school when I realized just how incredible taking care of children can be. As a pediatrician, I take care of all children, both sick and well, from newborns just meeting the world to adolescents who are learning and growing into their adult bodies. Becoming a parent is an exciting, yet sometimes overwhelming journey. I am here to be a guide on the path from childhood to adulthood. My goal is to make sure that every patient and their family feels comfortable to ask questions and bring up any concerns that comes to mind. I am here to ensure that families have all the support they need in raising a happy, healthy children. When I am outside of the office, I enjoy spending time outside gardening or inside with my ever-growing collection of houseplants. I also enjoy running and biking with my husband and playing fetch with my two dogs.

I first discovered my passion for pediatrics in medical school while leading an after-school program for children in South Carolina. I valued connecting with the children and providing them with a safe space to communicate and express themselves. Now as a primary care pediatrician, I enjoy getting to care for children of all ages and stages, from newborns to adolescents, and helping them grow into healthy young adults.
