I initially went into college pursuing a health science degree for practical reasons, to have a stable and always in demand career. It turns out I quickly came to love the art and science of medicine and consider it a great privilege to be able to help people as my job.What I want my patients to know about me:I have worked several specialties as a physician assistant over the past 12 years. I have been in pediatrics for the past five years. Family and pediatric medicine have been my most satisfying areas to practice in because it allows me to create long-term relationships with my patients. Knowing as much as possible about my patients is important because I believe in treating the whole patient and not just the symptoms. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I am usually spending time with my husband and two boys outdoors or working on one of the many projects to be done around our 19th century farmhouse renovation.
