Dr. Chitwood graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Biology. She earned her medical degree from Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York and completed her internship and residency at Emory University. Dr. Chitwood was in private practice with Peachtree Internal Medicine in Atlanta before joining Piedmont Physicians Group. Connie DuPre, M.D., FACP, earned her undergraduate and medical degree from Louisiana State University. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Medical College of Georgia and fellowship in Faculty Development at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She remained on faculty as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia in the department of medicine for ten years before going into private practice. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. DuPre worked in private practice south of Atlanta for more than 16 years. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical society and attained fellowship status in the American College of Physicians. Her special interests are diabetes and obesity management.
