Overview
"Dr. Victor Khabie is a member of the Somers Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Group. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, where he served as assistant team physician to professional sports teams including the LA Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Mighty Ducks, LA Sparks, and the USC Trojan football team. Dr. Khabie finished his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute in New York; did a rotation in orthopedic trauma at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle; and completed his internship in general surgery at New York University School of Medicine-Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthpaedic Institute where he is currently an assistant clinical professor of Orthopedic Surgery.
A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Victor Khabie is a diplomat of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and earned a subspecialty certificate in orthopedic sports medicine. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons and specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, and knee in athletes.
He created and has patented an innovative patella alignment brace (""Victory Knee Brace"").

Through his work with Major League Baseball, he has been able to better define injury patterns and treatment outcomes in elite level overhead athletes. He plans to continue this research to further the understanding of youth injuries, including methods of prevention, to keep young athletes healthy. Dr. Erickson has served as one of the assistant team physicians for the Philadelphia Phillies as well as the New York Mets, and has recently been elected to the advisory committee for MLB Pitchsmart.
