He completed a Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Christus Santa Rosa Colon and Rectal Surgery Program in San Antonio.His past academic appointments include Assistant Professor of Surgery at Texas A&M Health Science Center/Baylor, Scott & White Memorial Hospital and Associate Professor of Surgery at Morehouse School of Medicine were he also served as Vice Chair of Surgical Education and Program Director for the General Surgery Residency program. In addition he has given back to our Military community by serving in Department of Surgery at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System.He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Dr. Clark is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, a member of the Association of Academic Surgeons and served as an executive board member of the Association of Program Directors in Surgery. Dr. Clark has published many peer-reviewed and book chapters on the topics such as hemorrhoid surgery, robotic surgery for resident training, techniques in advanced coloproctology for fistulizing anorectal disease, colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and single incision laparoscopic colectomy among others.Dr. Clark's care philosophy is to treat every patient like they are a family member.
