
Overview
Osama Mukarram is board-certified internal medicine physician specializing in interventional cardiology. He provides heart care for adults, including treatment for coronary artery disease, ischemic and valvular heart disease, aortic stenosis, mitral valve stenosis, aortic valve regurgitation, mitral valve regurgitation, heart failure, arrhythmias, hyperlipidemia, high blood pressure, pericarditis, myocarditis and cardiomyopathy. He followed this with a residency in internal medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Odessa, TX, where he served as chief resident. He then completed fellowships in cardiology at the University of Connecticut in Farmington and interventional cardiology at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Hospital in Worcester.|Dr. Mukarram is proud to serve his community. He values helping everyone he cares for understand their treatment options to achieve their best heart health. The care he delivers is inspired by “a passion to help those in need and improve our understanding of cardiac disease and available treatments,” he notes.|In 2017, he received the Best Teaching Resident Award, as well as the Medical Student Mentor Award.|He is an active member of several professional organizations including the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians and American Medical Association.|In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, playing guitar, baking and enjoying new cuisine.
