Dr. Scott D. Shapiro

Dr. Scott D. Shapiro is a cardiologist affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital, Suburban Hospital, Holy Cross Hospital and George Washington University Hospital, where he is the director of arrhythmia services and an assistant professor of medicine for the School of Medicine. He practices out of Medical Faculty Associates in Washington, D.C. Dr. Shapiro has an expertise in catheter ablation for treatment of arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators, arrhythmia consultation and cardiovascular consultation. He has investigated gene therapy as a method of cardiac regeneration and utilizing advanced imaging modalities to assess efficacy of this treatment.
