Dr. Christina Mitchell

Christina N.C. Mitchell, M.D., is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) as well as reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). Dr. Mitchell earned her medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College in Manhattan, after which she completed both her residency in OB/GYN and her fellowship in REI at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. Prior to joining SGF, Dr. Mitchell served as the Medical Director of Fertility Preservation and the IVF Director at UNC Fertility. Passionate about educating the next leaders in REI, Dr. Mitchell was the former Director of Academic Affairs at RADfertility and the REI Director of Education for the ChristianaCare OB/GYN Residency Program. Enthusiastic about the practice of evidence-based medicine, Dr. Mitchell has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and has presented her research at several local and national meetings. Dr. Mitchell specializes in all aspects of fertility care and is most enthusiastic about fertility preservation and optimizing IVF outcomes. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Dr. Mitchell provides patient care at SGF’s Raleigh, North Carolina, location. Her goal as a fertility specialist is to help families overcome their infertility in the most comfortable, well-supported, and well-informed manner possible. She is a devoted wife and mother, avid runner, novice gardener, and aspiring golfer.
