Cynthia Cathcart, MD, believes that having open communication is one of the most important aspects in patient care. By partnering with her patients and educating them on their treatment options, she helps them make the best and most informed decisions for their care. Both of Dr. Cathcart's parents were cancer survivors so she understands how important it is to have a provider that is compassionate and gives personal attention to each individual person and their unique needs. Dr. Cathcart practices general oncology and hematology with the mission that all patients are treated like family. Dr. Cathcart graduated from Texas Women's University with a degree in Biology and earned her medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. She completed her internship and residency at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, where she was Chief Resident of Internal Medicine. At Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Cathcart was fellowship trained in medical oncology. Dr. Cathcart enjoys all the mountains of southwest Colorado have to offer including hiking, cycling and photography. At home, she enjoys baking and spending time in her garden.
