Additionally, he traveled to Florianopolis, Brazil to study under Dr. Jayme Bertelli, an expert in peripheral nerve injuries, brachial plexus injuries, and tendon transfers. He is also interested in improving function of upper extremity amputees through targeted muscle reinnervation (TMR) and the use of a myoelectric prosthesis. Through his work in congenital, brachial plexus, and amputee specialty clinics he has gained a wealth of knowledge on the multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
