Dr. John Pacella

John Pacella, MD, is an interventional cardiologist and is certified in interventional cardiology, and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship at UPMC. Dr. Pacella joined the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in 2006. His clinical interests include innovations in interventional cardiology and the improvement of microvascular function following myocardial infarction and percutaneous coronary intervention. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and regularly presents his research at national and international conferences. He is a fellow of the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology, as well as a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, and Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
