He worked as a lifeguard/swimming instructor, multi-sport referee, and academic entrance exam instructor for Kaplan during high school and at the College of William & Mary.Ahead of Medical School, Dr. Johnson earned his Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Texas at Houston and spent several years working at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center's Medical Physics / Imaging Research Lab. He ultimately pursued his first love, earning his Medical Degree at the University of Texas at Houston and completing a Neurology residency and Movement Disorders fellowship at Vanderbilt. His practice interests are most centered around advanced treatments for Parkinson's Disease and Essential Tremor, including Deep Brain Stimulation and programming. He is also adept at Botox procedures for Migraine, Sialorrhea, Dystonia, and Spasticity.Dr. Johnson and his wife Lori have their hands full at home with 2 boys, a new daughter, a husky, and a cat.
