Dr. Dawn Piercy

I am proud to serve as the Chief of the Duke Division of Gastroenterology. In addition to my administrative duties, I enjoy my clinical practice focused on the care of patients with liver diseases. I also continue to participate in clinical research and hope that these studies offer our patients the latest advances and treatment options. I have a passion for taking care of patients with liver disease. I am particularly interested in liver transplantation as well as the care of patients with autoimmune and cholestatic liver disease including primary biliary cirrhosis and primary sclerosing cholangitis. In addition to patient care, I have an interest in medical education. Because new treatments and discoveries are constantly being made within the field of hepatology, I am continually learning and enjoy sharing this knowledge with patients, families, and medical trainees.
