Overview
Dr. Philip D. Bobrow is an orthopaedic surgeon affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital, Suburban Hospital and Georgetown University Hospital, where he is a clinical associate professor of surgery. Dr. Bobrow has been in practice since 1983. He has an individualized approach to patient care, customizing each care plan to a patient’s specific needs. Dr. Bobrow practices out of Summit Orthopedics in Chevy Chase, MD. Dr. Bobrow is one of only a few surgeons in the country that are specialized in bone-conserving procedures of minimally invasive hip and knee surgery and partial-knee replacements. Along with advanced pain-management protocol, Dr. Bobrow used this training to help pioneer a multidisciplinary approach to joint replacement surgery in the Washington area that enables accelerated recovery. This approach was featured in Sibley’s On Health Magazine in May 2014. His expertise focuses on adult reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee, sports medicine and general orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Bobrow earned his medical degree from S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed residencies in general surgery and orthopedic surgery at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Bobrow has numerous achievements, such as being listed as a Top Doctor in Washingtonian Magazine every issue since 1993. In 2008, he was personally profiled in the magazine. He has also been listed in every Outstanding Physician Specialist issue of Consumers’ Checkbook Magazine since 1998. In 2014, he was named Physician of the Year by the Sibley Hospital Medical Association and had more positive mention than any other orthopaedic surgeon in the Washington area. Dr. Bobrow is also a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Bobrow is currently involved in the residency teaching program at George Washington University and was previously a Team Physician for American University.

The Orthopaedic Center PA
Dr. Kenneth M. Fine is an orthopaedic surgeon affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital, Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and George Washington University Hospital, where he serves as an assistant clinical professor of orthopaedics for the University. He practices out of The Orthopaedic Center, located in Rockville, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Dr. Fine is currently the team physician and medical director of D.C. United professional soccer team, as well as a consultant in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine at Children’s National Medical Center. Dr. Fine was among the first group of surgeons in the country to become subspecialty certified in orthopaedic sports medicine. He has an expertise in arthroscopy of the knee, shoulder, hip, elbow and ankle; cartilage disorders; concussions in sports; and treating the patella. Dr. Fine earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery and a fellowship in sports medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Previously, Dr. Fine provided medical care for Olympic soccer teams during the 1996 summer Olympics, was co-medical director for the World Figure Skating championships in 2003 and served at the Olympic Training Center in 2008, where he was also the physician for the Junior U.S. Boxing Championships. Dr. Fine has also served as the physician for the U.S. fast-track speed skating team; the medical provider to Cirque du Soleil, the Boston Ballet Company and the Joffrey Ballet; the medical director for the Cherry Blossom 10-mile road race and National Race for the Cure; the director of orthopaedic sports medicine at George Washington University and Children’s National Medical Center; an orthopaedic consultant for the D.C. Divas professional football team; and the team physician for George Washington University teams and several high school teams.
