Dr. Acharya received her Bachelor's in Chemistry and Political Science from Stanford University and her medical degree from Saint Louis University. Dr. Redmonds research interest focuses on the development of novel radiation techniques and therapeutic agents to treat brain and spine tumors in order to increase tumor control and overall survival. In addition, she is working to develop innovative approaches to try to limit long term toxicities and minimize neuro-cognitive dysfunction following treatment for tumors of the central nervous system. Dr. Redmond believes in a holistic approach to medicine and feels that the social and psychological components of patient care are equally important to traditional therapies.
