Overview
Michael Curren, MD, is a non-invasive cardiologist and is certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as clinical informatics by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He is the Section Chief of cardiology at St. Margaret Hospital and a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is the director of the Center for Heart Failure Research at UPMC and is a professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency and cardiology fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. McNamara joined the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in 1994.
