Dr. Jonathan B. Shafer

Dr. Lohse is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with fellowship training in hand, wrist, and elbow surgery. He cares for both adults and children. In addition to general orthopaedics, he specializes in upper extremity nerve problems, tendon and ligament injuries, fractures, and arthritis. He has pioneered work in accelerated recovery after wrist fractures and performed cutting-edge cartilage transplantation for the treatment of arthritis. Dr. Lohse grew up in Indiana. He received his bachelor of science in Mechanical Engineering, graduating with the highest honors, from Purdue University. He went on to attend medical school at Northwestern University where he graduated Alpha Omega Alpha (highest honors). Dr. Lohse completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Washington before going onto subspecialty training in hand and upper extremity surgery at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Lohse’s care philosophy is centered around education. He believes patients are best able to participate in their care when they thoroughly understand their problem and treatment options. Additionally, Dr. Lohse feels strongly that treatment must be individualized, as the same condition may affect two people very differently. Jason Dahl, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in conditions of the hand, wrist, and elbow.Dr. Dahl was raised in Duluth, Minnesota, the son of an operating room circulating nurse and a nurse anesthetist. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota with a degree in Information Systems. After finishing his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Dahl spent several years splitting his time between leading canoe trips in the summer and skiing in places like Big Sky, Montana, and Jackson, Wyoming in the winter. In 2005, Dr. Dahl entered medical school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and in 2009 began his surgical training at University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York.Following residency, Dr. Dahl pursued subspecialty fellowship training in hand surgery at the University of Washington and Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.Dr. Dahl began his career as a private practice physician with Twin Cities Orthopedics in Maple Grove, Minnesota. During his tenure, he was twice selected by his physician peers as a “Rising Star” in Mpls/St. Paul Magazine (2018, 2019).Dr. Dahl is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and holds additional subspecialty certification in surgery of the hand and upper extremity by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Robon did his undergraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from medical school at The Ohio State University. He completed his fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital. Earlier, in his years as a competitive All-American swimmer, Dr. Robon endured years of medical treatment for multiple orthopaedic injuries. These experiences shaped his practice philosophy today; good patient care involves making accurate and timely diagnoses, but equally important is treating patients with respect and compassion. By helping his patients understand their problem, this not only results in the treatment of the immediate problem, but hopefully, helps to avoid future injuries and pain. Additionally, Dr. Robon is married and has three sons. He and his wife enjoy exploring the great outdoors by skiing, hiking, golfing and trail running in the Cascades.
