Dr. Gregory M. Weiner

Gregory M Weiner, MD, is a board certified and fellowship trained cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgeon who specializes in the treatment of vascular disorders of the brain and spine including stroke, intercranial hemorrhage, aneurysms, vascular malformations and stenosis of the blood vessels in the brain and neck.|He also provides surgical care for people with facial pain, hemifacial spasms and degenerative cervical and lumbar spine disease.|Dr. Weiner received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he also completed his fellowship in endovascular neurosurgery.|“I’m proud of building the first comprehensive stroke center in NEPA and forming the first brain aneurysm support group of NEPA,” says Dr. Weiner, who won Geisinger’s Top Patient Experience Award two years in a row.|Dr. Weiner — who moved to his wife’s hometown of Scranton after living in California — adds that he enjoys seeing a variety of patients and applying the latest technology to their individualized treatment plans.
