Philosophy of care | I believe in a multi-disciplinary treatment approach centered around the individual patient with the goal of improving one's quality of life and function. I provide comprehensive, non-operative spine and musculoskeletal care. | Why I entered medicine | I have always been interested in the function of the human body, but it was coursework in my undergraduate studies that led me to pursue a career in medicine. | Community involvement | I am president of the Luzerne County Medical Society and participate in both physician and patient educational activities through community events. | Personal interests | I enjoy spending free time with my wife and children.

Philosophy of care | My experience as a patient allows me to put myself in my patients’ shoes. I think about what they’re going through and try to answer all of their questions before they even ask. I’m passionate about getting people back to doing what they want to do, whether it’s going back to work, golfing or playing with their grandchildren. It’s rewarding to improve a patient’s quality of life. | Why I entered medicine | Members of my family are physicians, and I was an EMT in college. However, I was inspired to become a physiatrist when I had a tumor removed from my leg. The surgery led to nerve problems that affected my ability do everyday activities, like getting in and out of a chair. I believe these functional issues are often overlooked in medicine, and as a physiatrist, they are the things I address for my patients. | Personal interests | I enjoy spending time outdoors. I go to parks, bike and ski.
