Overview

Caring for patients as a hematologist/oncologist is an incredible privilege, and I work hard to ensure that my patients have access to the very best evidence-based treatment options. Every cancer patient is different, and I strive to fully understand each patient’s goals and preferences, as well as their unique cancer biology, to determine the best possible treatment plan. I believe honesty and good communication are key to good cancer care, as is a team-based approach with our nursing staff, pharmacists, other specialist and primary care physicians, and the rest of the care team. I am continuously amazed at the resilience and strength of the patients I care for, and find the close relationships created with my patients and their families to be the most rewarding aspect of my work.
