Overview
Prof. Basile Njei is a graduate of the Yale Ph.D. in Investigative Medicine and Harvard Global Clinical Scholars programs. He received his medical doctorate with honors from The University of Yaoundé 1, Cameroon, and was awarded the prestigious British Chevening scholarship to pursue public health training at the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. After earning a Master’s in Public Health, he completed residency training at the University of Connecticut and a Gastroenterology Fellowship at Yale University. During his training, Dr. Njei received multiple honors, including the Howard Levine-MD Science Award, ACG Fellow-in-Training Award, AASLD Fellow Travel Award, AASLD Young Investigator Award, Dr. James Boyer Fellow Travel Award, and the Samuel Kushlan Award for Excellence in Research.
