Dr. Kevin Moore

Kevin Moore, MD, has practiced family medicine since 1995 and sees patients ages 18 and older at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Primary Care. Dr. Moore is a retired United States Army colonel with 26 years of active duty service.His many leadership roles during his military medical career range from chief of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, to battalion surgeon in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is a recipient of the Legion of Merit and Bronze Star, among other commendations.A family doctor during Dr. Moore’s childhood inspired him to consider a career in medicine. He says he enjoys having a long-term relationship with his patients, focusing on shared health goals, chronic disease management and overall well-being. “The relationship should be based on mutual trust and respect,” he said of his approach to patient care.Dr. Moore received an undergraduate degree from Murray State University and his medical degree from the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland (Department of Defense Medical School). He served a family medicine residency at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia, and a faculty development fellowship at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.In his free time, Dr. Moore enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time with his grandkids and learning new things.
