Dr. Lauren Roth

Dr. James Segars is director of the Division of Reproductive Science and Women’s Health Research and a professor in the Johns Hopkins Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. He leads the Howard W. and Georgeanna Seegar Jones Laboratory of Reproductive Sciences and Women's Health Research, where he and his team focus on endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and reproductive and ovarian disorders. Dr. Segars received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and earned his M.D. from Duke University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a clinical fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Segars performed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Laboratory of Molecular Growth Regulation at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. He joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2015. Before coming to Johns Hopkins, Dr. Segars was head of the Unit on Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and a professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Segars has published more than 160 peer-reviewed research articles and serves on the editorial boards of Reproductive Sciences, Molecular Human Reproduction, Seminars in Reproductive Medicine, and Fertility and Sterility. Micah J. Hill, D.O., is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI). Dr. Hill completed his residency in OB/GYN at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. He then completed his fellowship in REI at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Prior to joining SGF, Dr. Hill retired from the U.S. Army as a Colonel with his most recent position being the medical director for the Assisted Reproduction Technologies program and the OB/GYN Research Director at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He has served as the Media Editor for Fertility and Sterility, President of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI), President Elect and Quality Assurance Committee Chair for the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), and on the Practice Committee for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). He has served of the Board of Directors of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), SART, SREI, PCRS, and ASRM. As an avid researcher, Dr. Hill has contributed to hundreds of publications and presentations exploring topics such in vitro fertilization (IVF) protocols and outcomes and frozen embryo transfers, among many others. Pardis Hosseinzadeh, M.D., M.S. is a physician in Gynecology and Obstetrics. She earned her medical degree from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in her hometown of Isfahan, Iran. Dr. Hosseinzadeh completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a Post-doctoral research fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Subsequently, Dr. Hosseinzadeh completed a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center, where she received training in all aspects of fertility care, including treating both female and male infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, polycystic ovarian syndrome, premature ovarian insufficiency, and fertility preservation. She has also earned a Master of Science in clinical and translational science from the university. Dr. Hosseinzadeh believes that nothing is more important than family, and is passionate about helping her patients build the family of their dreams.
